ALEXANDRIA

Alexandria is the cosmopolitan city of Egypt and the main cultural center of the ancient world. Founded by Alexander the Great, it was also the city of Cleopatra and the cultural center of the ancient world.
The visit to Alexandria is one of the most important when it comes to getting to know the country. Historically, the city is known for its famous lighthouse, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world which, destroyed in an earthquake, the Library, the largest research center of antiquity, the Catacombs of Kom Al Shuqqafa, the largest Roman cemetery in Egypt and one of the last great religious buildings of ancient Egypt, and Cleopatra’s Palace, submerged at the bottom of the sea.
